I've Been a Busy Panda

 I've been extremely busy, the past few weeks! Good busy, though. :)

 I started school on January 7th! So far, all of my classes have been great and I've made a few friends. It's a requirement to have at least 6 hours of homework per class each week, so I've been spending my work hours doing homework. I actually should be doing homework now, but thought I would blog really quick to catch up! As the weeks progress, I might start posting pictures of my schoolwork.

 When I'm on my days off, I've been spending a lot of time catching up on my sleep. It's nice, but I still have personal obligations and fun things I need to do as well, like writing this blog! I really do miss writing on here and want to make it better, so I hope I can start planning bloggy things out, soon. I also have some serious cleaning I need to do in my apartment, luckily I have Monday off from school...

 Since I spend most of my time doing school stuff, I haven't really spent time drawing, unfortunately. I did manage to post one new picture on my deviantart of my first doodle test on my brand new drawing tablet, though! It takes some getting used to, considering the image shows on the computer screen instead of the surface I'm drawing on. lol My next 6 or so drawings should be drawings that I'll be using as examples for my commission work, so keep an eye out for those!

Birthday Celebrations and Lots of Work!

 Long time no see! Sorry I've disappeared, I've been extremely busy. So how about a recap of the last couple of weeks?

 The past 10 days, I've been celebrating my 22nd birthday! I worked on my actual birthday, so I had to do it on my days off. On the 12th, I celebrated with Jaxy! We went to the gym, went swimming, and she gave me this adorable camera charm. That Friday (the 14th), I went to the hair salon for a cut and to color back to my natural color. The color turned out slightly darker than it should have, but I love it! While I was at the salon, Aaron had to run some errands and returned with my birthday gifts. He bought me a Nook Tablet and a cover for it! I was so excited, I've been wanting one for a while. Aaron liked them so much, he even got one for himself. That night (technically Saturday morning), he took me to Denny's for 3am birthday dinner. Instead of a cake, I got a birthday chocolate hot fudge sundae with oreos.

 During my work week, I've been busy training my friend, Raymond. He got a job at the company I work at and my boss thought it would be a good idea to have him train under me. Since there's only 4 hours of actual training, we spent 8 hours each shift watching things on Netflix. I was able to get some of my other projects going, but couldn't blog while he was around. At least I was able to hang out with him on my birthday!

Birthday Girl!

 I would've posted yesterday, but I fell asleep right after coming home, so here's my post now!


 Yesterday was the day Jaxy and I celebrated her birthday with a big birthday date! We got dressed up and went to Pho Vietnamese Cuisine in Treasure Island. The food was so good, I love seafood pho!

New Year, New Goals!

 Happy New Year everyone! How has your New Years been? I'm spending mine at work with no holiday pay. At least I still get paid at all though! I've been sitting here at my desk, thinking of what kinds of things I want to accomplish in 2012, so...


 My list of future accomplishments in the New Year!:

1) Practice drawing more often.

2) Try different art forms.
3) Start selling my artwork and crafts if I get good enough.
4) Try cooking a new, advanced meal once a week.
5) Start growing my own cooking herbs.
6) Start sewing again (need a new machine!).
7) Go on more adventures / dates with Aaron. ♥
8) Hang out with my friends more often.
9) Expand my vintage camera collection to more than 1. lol
10) Blog more often!

A Surprise Instead of an Apartment Update

 I would've gotten some progress on apartment stuff this week (not to mention cooking and blog writing), but Aaron and I had to use our money and time on something much cuter. Let me give you a hint, it's fuzzy, little, and it's not a moldy loaf of bread. Give up?

Happy Halloween!

Hope you're all having a good one! Lots of carved pumpkins, costumes, scary movies, and candy! Aaron and I were almost late on the pumpkins, but we finally got to carve them on the 30th. It was his first time carving pumpkins, so I was excited to do it. Aaron carved an "=o" face, it looks like it fell over and got scared. lol

I carved a cat pumpkin complete with kitten! I got the idea from my new salt shakers.

Apartment Update... again!

While I was in Reno a couple of weeks ago, I got some great news from my mom. The apartment complex Aaron and I are in now approved us to completely take over her lease by November 11th, so we can stay in the same apartment and my sister and her boyfriend will move with my mom to a 2 bedroom apartment in the same complex! So we get the place to ourselves (finally!), my sister and her boyfriend get an actual bedroom instead of a living room, my mom can have her own place again, and everyone gets their own bathrooms! lol

This is the floor plan of our place, ignore the furniture proportions because the place is a bit bigger than the floor plan looks. lol It's about 814 sq. ft. / 75.6 sq. m. I don't know how we managed having 4 people living in a 1 bedroom apartment, but for just Aaron and I it's perfect. I've been so excited to decorate the entire place, I have tons of design plans already put together. I even already bought a couple of things for the living room! I won't give any details away just yet, but I'll definitely take some pictures through the designing process for some teasers before the big reveal.


It'll be great to have friends and family over without feeling embarrassed about the clutter and mess, plus we're going to get a 2nd cat so Bowie isn't lonely when we're working. Also, we'll have the kitchen to ourselves, which means I can cook and bake more! I have a feeling I'll become more of a Susie Homemaker once everything is settled. lol

My Birthday & the Reno trip!

I just got back from my vacation at 10am on Monday, one week went by too quickly! Aaron, Carley, her girlfriend, and I did so much while Aaron and I stayed with them. Lots of driving too, thank goodness we drove there instead of flew. lol Here are lots of pictures!


For starters, my birthday! I woke up to Aaron giving me a bouquet of gorgeous flowers in all colors, he's so sweet.

After that, my sister and I made birthday cupcakes and used the leftover mix for a small birthday cake loaf.

They were angel food cupcakes with chocolate pudding as the "frosting" and rasberries.

After making the cupcakes, Aaron and I made dinner together! It was curry seasoned salmon with noodles and stir fried vegetables. I accidentally put too much ginger into it, but it was great for a first try.

New Tattoo Finally!

I finally got my first tattoo on the 1st! I'm so happy and I'm proud of it.

Oh my God, it's been 2 weeks!?

I've been so busy, I haven't realized how much time has passed since my last post! I may as well update you again and try to remember to post more often.


So I finally got my new HTC Evo 4G almost a week ago, and I have to say I love it! The camera quality is amazing, plus with the additional front-facing camera, I can use the Skype app to video chat my dad from across the country. I haven't gotten a new piece of technology, other than my PS3, since 2008 or so, so this is a huge technological jump for me. lol I'll probably post a proper review after I have it for a while longer.

Life Recently and Upcoming Stuff Updated!

In case you haven't noticed, I've been MIA lately, mostly working, running errands and catching up on my sleep. Just this week has been busy with meetings, new clients, getting a bigger storage for new furniture, and more problems with the living situation. On the positive side, I had my yearly job review last week and am happy to say that my boss is happy with my work!

Aside from all that, I'd like to show off my new glasses I got a couple weeks ago! It cost a little more than I thought it would, even with the buy one get one free deal, but it was worth it.

The first pair are red with darker red streaks throughout, I wanted something colorful and they matched my hair perfectly!

The second pair are similar to my old glasses, except they're a little smaller and have a cat eye angle to them. Plus, the second pair are transition lenses! I don't have to squint in the sun anymore!

Upcoming Stuff

Today, I dyed my hair a bright red instead of going the natural route again! It looks really good in my opinion. I also dyed Aaron's hair teal! The parts where it was pre-lightened are very vibrant, whereas the parts with his natural brown are a very very dark blue. Here's a photo:

I'm so happy with the result, my favorite color on my favorite person! ♥

Weekend Recap

 My boyfriend's cat, laying on my magazine. :P

On Thursday, my boyfriend and I went apartment hunting and found a beautiful one bedroom. It's 925 sq. feet / nearly 86 sq. meters, has a decent walk-in closet, built in shelves in the dining room, a nice-sized kitchen, personal laundry room, and lots of storage. We're most likely turning in our applications this week, so I'm hoping we get accepted!

On Friday, it was my mom's 52nd birthday. We had a BBQ with close family and later that night, my sister, her boyfriend and I played in the pouring rain. It never rains here! The cake was good too, chocolate ice cream cake. :)

You can't see the rain, but we're soaked. :P Time stamp's wrong. lol

And now I'm having a Netflix movie marathon and flipping through this month's Vogue. I love how Emma Watson looks!
