Tutorial: White / Grey Hair without Murdering It

This past Sunday, I dyed my hair white / grey! Since I've seen a few people online wondering how to do this without your hair falling out, I thought I'd make a tutorial. Warning: If your hair is darker than light brown, it'll take weeks or months to accomplish without your hair getting ruined. You'll have to be ok with having strange hair for a while. So without further ado, how to dye your hair white / grey!

Back to Blonde!

Yep, after about 5 months, I finally went back to blonde. I loved the red, it reminded me of Joan Harris in Mad Men, but the upkeep was too much. I had to redye it every 2 weeks, and I didn't want to pay double what I did when I was blonde. I went to Walmart and picked up L'oreal Paris Super Blonde Lightener, $8.97 US. It's the same stuff I always used when I had borderline white hair, so I know it's good.

Review: 'N Rage Crimson Red Hair Dye

Since I finally redyed my hair, I'm going to review the 'N Rage demi-permanent hair dye I used back in the end of July.

I used the 'N Rage demi-permanent hair dye in Crimson Red around July 26th on faded auburn, slightly damaged hair. For my hair length, it took about 1 and a quarter bottles. It's a really thick cream, so it doesn't drip but it's really difficult to get out of the bottle. I recommend just taking the cap off and using a stick or long comb handle to mix it up, then squeeze the bottle into your hand as hard as you can, as the bottle itself is thick plastic. I left the color on for an hour and rinsed it out in cold water, then used color safe shampoo, I recommend Garnier Fructis Color Shield Fortifying Shampoo, and rinsed it in cold water again. It made my hair feel so much healthier and softer! The result was this:

Upcoming Stuff

Today, I dyed my hair a bright red instead of going the natural route again! It looks really good in my opinion. I also dyed Aaron's hair teal! The parts where it was pre-lightened are very vibrant, whereas the parts with his natural brown are a very very dark blue. Here's a photo:
I'm so happy with the result, my favorite color on my favorite person! ♥
