2013 New Year's Goals!

Happy New Year! Just like last year, I'm working on New Year's Eve and New Year's night. But that just gives me time to think of what this year's goals will be! Here's my goals for 2013!

2013 New Year's Goals:
  1) Do my best in school.
  2) Save as much money as possible.
  3) Get my driver's license.
  4) Practice drawing often.
  5) Try other art mediums.
  6) Read more often.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! How has yours been or how is it going?  So far so good on my end, then again it's only 2:30am. lol

For today, nothing special is going to happen for me. Unfortunately, I'm working until 8am and then coming back to work at 8pm for another shift, so no romantic date for me. It's ok though, because Aaron and I will be celebrating our first anniversary in 11 days! I'm so excited, and besides by then, restaurants won't be as busy and flowers won't be as expensive as they are on this romantic day. lol I'll definitely be posting about that eventually, but in the meantime here's a picture of the surprise Valentine's Day gift bag I made up for Aaron here at work before he picks me up in the morning! I had to have my mom bring the gifts and bag to work so that he didn't see it beforehand.

So what are you doing for Valentine's Day? I don't care if you have a significant other, are spending it alone, or are celebrating it with friends, I want to know! Happy Valentine's Day again, everyone. I hope you spend it thinking of the ones you love the most. :)

New Year, New Goals!

Happy New Year everyone! How has your New Years been? I'm spending mine at work with no holiday pay. At least I still get paid at all though! I've been sitting here at my desk, thinking of what kinds of things I want to accomplish in 2012, so...

My list of future accomplishments in the New Year!:
1) Practice drawing more often.
2) Try different art forms.
3) Start selling my artwork and crafts if I get good enough.
4) Try cooking a new, advanced meal once a week.
5) Start growing my own cooking herbs.
6) Start sewing again (need a new machine!).
7) Go on more adventures / dates with Aaron.
8) Hang out with my friends more often.
9) Expand my vintage camera collection to more than 1. lol
10) Blog more often!

5 Things I'm Loving: 11/20/11 - 11/26/11

1) The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I've been playing this on my days off as much as possible, so much fun. With the Wii Motion Plus built in, it kind of feels like I'm actually using the sword, plus I like the sound the wiimote makes when I pull out the sword or put it away. lol Aaron preordered it, so we got the gold wiimote as well! And the design style of the game is so gorgeous! Instead of blurry backgrounds, they look more like watercolor paintings. I won't go into detail about the story, since I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it's a must have game. I would probably have even bought a Wii if I didn't have one already just for this game, seriously.

2) Finally starting my seasonal baking! To kick it off, I baked a pumpkin and cream cheese pie for Thanksgiving. It was my first time baking a pie, but it turned out great. I'll post more about that later!

Happy Halloween!

Hope you're all having a good one! Lots of carved pumpkins, costumes, scary movies, and candy! Aaron and I were almost late on the pumpkins, but we finally got to carve them on the 30th. It was his first time carving pumpkins, so I was excited to do it. Aaron carved an "=o" face, it looks like it fell over and got scared. lol
I carved a cat pumpkin complete with kitten! I got the idea from my new salt shakers.
Isn't the kitten cute too?
