Birthday Celebrations and Lots of Work!

Long time no see! Sorry I've disappeared, I've been extremely busy. So how about a recap of the last couple of weeks?

The past 10 days, I've been celebrating my 22nd birthday! I worked on my actual birthday, so I had to do it on my days off. On the 12th, I celebrated with Jaxy! We went to the gym, went swimming, and she gave me this adorable camera charm. That Friday (the 14th), I went to the hair salon for a cut and to color back to my natural color. The color turned out slightly darker than it should have, but I love it! While I was at the salon, Aaron had to run some errands and returned with my birthday gifts. He bought me a Nook Tablet and a cover for it! I was so excited, I've been wanting one for a while. Aaron liked them so much, he even got one for himself. That night (technically Saturday morning), he took me to Denny's for 3am birthday dinner. Instead of a cake, I got a birthday chocolate hot fudge sundae with oreos.

During my work week, I've been busy training my friend, Raymond. He got a job at the company I work at and my boss thought it would be a good idea to have him train under me. Since there's only 4 hours of actual training, we spent 8 hours each shift watching things on Netflix. I was able to get some of my other projects going, but couldn't blog while he was around. At least I was able to hang out with him on my birthday!

(More birthday celebrations, Asian food, and creative projects after the jump!)

Day 09 – My siblings

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what to say about my siblings. Well I have two of them, both of them sisters.

Chelsea
Chelsea is my younger sister, a 2 and a half year age difference. She's basically the exact opposite of me. She's very messy, loud, can be a bit irresponsible. She just moved out of my apartment today and things will be great. We get along much better when we aren't living together, it's always been that way. Even though we argue often, I still defend her when other people fight with her. It's a love hate relationship. lol

Cat
(I would post a picture, but not without her consent.)
Cat is my older sister, half-sister to be exact, with I believe a 22 year age difference. Yep, my sister is old enough to be my mom. lol I don't really know a lot about her life now other than what facebook says, we just recently started talking again after nearly 12 years. All I can tell you about her is that she got married this year, we have similar tastes in music and movies, and she's a security officer. She was my role model when I was a kid, I thought she was so cool and she still is. When I would visit her when we were younger, I would always stare at the collection of horror movie monster and villain dolls that she handmade. She also had so many ear piercings, the most being 13 in one ear and I thought that was awesome. I wish she was still in Vegas so that we could catch up, but she's living all the way in Florida now.

That's pretty much it, I'm a middle child with all girl siblings.
So what are your siblings like? :)

Weekend Recap

My boyfriend's cat, laying on my magazine. :P

On Thursday, my boyfriend and I went apartment hunting and found a beautiful one bedroom. It's 925 sq. feet / nearly 86 sq. meters, has a decent walk-in closet, built in shelves in the dining room, a nice-sized kitchen, personal laundry room, and lots of storage. We're most likely turning in our applications this week, so I'm hoping we get accepted!

On Friday, it was my mom's 52nd birthday. We had a BBQ with close family and later that night, my sister, her boyfriend and I played in the pouring rain. It never rains here! The cake was good too, chocolate ice cream cake. :)
You can't see the rain, but we're soaked. :P Time stamp's wrong. lol

And now I'm having a Netflix movie marathon and flipping through this month's Vogue. I love how Emma Watson looks!
Now a question for you:
What are you doing this weekend?
Tell me in the comments. :)

Day 01 – My parents

(I might update this with a picture another time)
My Mom
Her name is Carol and she was born in 1959 in upper-state New York. She's about 5'3" (6" shorter than me. lol), currently has brown hair and hazel eyes.
I can honestly say my mom is one of the strongest people I've ever met, she has been through so much in her life. She's kind, caring, smart and always tries to look on the positive side of things. My mom lives only a few minutes away from me now, so I try to hang out with her at least once each week to see how she's doing.

My Dad
His name is Robert and he was born in 1951 in Kentucky. He's 6'3" (6" taller than me, I'm right in between him and my mom. lol), currently has dark grey hair, though it used to be black, and grey eyes.
He too is kind, caring and smart, but he's also very fatherly and taught me most of the "real world living" stuff I know. He moved back to Kentucky recently, because of the unemployment problem here, and I miss him very, very much, but I make sure I keep in contact with him every week and I can tell he's much happier there.

My parents divorced when I was about 7 years old, but it never bothered me like it does with other kids with divorced parents. They still get along very well, and to be honest, it would be strange if they got back together, in my opinion. lol

I love both of my parents and I'm very grateful that I have them. :)
