Top Health Food Documentaries I'd Recommend

In December, I watched a bunch of healthy food documentaries. They're all vegan documentaries, and they helped me finally kick start my vegan change. Here are some of the best ones!

Forks over Knives
This is probably one of the ultimate movies there are that will make you go vegan! It's not a slaughter movie, but explains the health benefits of going vegan over eating meat on a more scientific level using the findings of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn and T. Colin Campbell, Ph.D. I highly recommend this one for the more health-oriented or intellectual type.

The Engine 2 Kitchen Rescue
This is kind of a sequel to Fork over Knives made by Rip Esselstyn, the firefighter son of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, one of the scientists in the first movie. In this one, he goes over how to start making the change by giving you examples of great food choices, simple recipes, and information on which foods has the nutrients we need. The information is super helpful, plus he's not bad to look at. lol

Fashion Movies to Watch

Lately I've been watching lots of fashion documentaries on Netflix and so far, I've come across three I really like. Here are the three fashion movies I recommend (thus far):
  • The September Issue, a 2008 documentary directed by R.J. Cutler about what it takes to make the coveted September issue of Vogue from the point of views of the magazine's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, and creative director, Grace Coddington. This movie is insightful and shows how much hard work is put into the magazine we all know and love, plus it goes into the lives and history of these two women, so it makes the watcher feel like they're a part of it.
  • Picture Me, a 2009 documentary directed by filmmaker Ole Schell and his girlfriend Sara Ziff about her journey to become an international model. This movie reveals both the good and bad sides of the fashion industry, as she and other models talk about their personal experiences on and off the runways. It's a great movie to watch, especially if you're considering becoming a model. I was actually a bit surprised how much they're driven to work on zero energy.
  • Starz Inside: Fashion in Film,  a 2008 documentary about how fashion and film go hand-in-hand. This movie looks back at every decade, talking about different influential movies such as Clueless, Desperately Seeking Susan, and of course, Breakfast at Tiffany's. An educational documentary, it's a good movie to watch if you're studying trend forecasting as well as just for entertainment.
Definitely check out those movies, they're all great and they teach and entertain at the same time. :)
